Teaching Evaluations
I value the information on evaluations both from my colleagues and my students. The feedback I receive from my colleagues offer a different and useful perspective. Their observations and suggestions, often based on many years of classroom experience, are helpful and can be applied immediately.
I see students’ evaluations as a way to improve as an instructor and the way that I conduct my classes. Student evaluations represent communication between instructor and students. This communication continues after the semester is over. Whether what the students reported is good or bad, the feedback needs to be acknowledged and considered. Reading their comments allows me the opportunity to contemplate the previous semester and think of ways to deliver information that may be more effectively understood. Please review the feedback I have received from my colleagues and students.
